With the possibility of hundreds of consumers touching coffee and vending machines every day, concern about the safety and hygiene of vending and coffee machines has been elevated by the Covid-19 pandemic, with mechanical push-buttons or touch-screen panels joining the list of potential transmission points for germs if they are not adequately cleaned.

Top 6 Touchless Coffee Machines for your Office is a guide as there are a few aspects to consider when looking for a touchless coffee machine that you can select your drink without touching the actual machine itself.  Some machines allow the coffee machine to connect to an app on your phone so you can order your drinks without touching the machine and others have special touch screen technology where you can select your drink from 2cms away from the screen!

      Model Name Changes

      You may be aware that Jura have discontinued some of the commercial Jura coffee machines from their range, but have also replaced them with different models.

      Below we have listed the old machines which are no longer available and included the new model which is the replacement.

      The Jura Impressa XS9 has been replaced by Jura WE8 coffee machine.

      Jura XJ9 has been replaced by Jura JX8 (or some call the Jura X8) and also JX10 which is the touch screen version of JX8.

      How to decommission your coffee machine?

      It is a time of uncertainty for us all and it is possible you may have to leave your coffee machine inactive for an unknown length of time, which is why it is important to know how to decommision your coffee machine.

      We have put together these steps for decommissioning your machine. This will prevent any unwelcome odours, build-up of bacteria or risk of leaks whilst not in use.

      If you have a Granulated Milk Coffee Machine:

      1. Do routine daily espresso & instant whipper bowl clean
      2. Open machine, remove & empty the milk and chocolate canisters.
      3. Ensure all the product is removed and replace canisters
      4. Switch OFF power at the mains electric socket
      5. Remove manual fill water tank (if applicable) & empty any water and refit the tank
      6. If the machine is plumbed in, turn the water supply to the machine OFF, ideally at the point where we have taken the water supply off the mains. Normally this is a simple quarter-turn of the on/off tap.  Various tap options in the ‘off’ position are shown on the guide below:
      7. Remove the drip tray and coffee waste bin & wash out with hot water
      8. Refit the drip tray
      9. When coming to use the machine again, please ensure to turn the water supply on BEFORE the power supply. This will prevent the inlet valve burning out.

      Ensure when the machine is recommissioned, it undergoes a cleaning cycle run through before consuming any drinks.

      Do I need a service package for my Coffee Machine?

      We certainly recommend a service plan for your office coffee machine, this will take of the admin away from you by allowing us to take care of service reminders and ensuring your filters and matching is deep cleaned and serviced regularly to prevent problems. Our service plans make it cheaper and less hassle to keep your machine in prime dispensing order.

      We can service and repair any water dispensing system whether you are an existing Wellbeing Group customer or not. You could have bought your coffee machine from anyone but we will still happily resolve your issue for you, our service standards are industry leading and we promise a rapid response to your issues.

      There are two options – You can pay for a call-out each time for us service your product and any additional labour or parts required to repair the system. Alternatively you can sign up to our annual service plans which are designed to save you time and money and provide peace of mind for ongoing bi-annual servicing of your water dispenser including filter changes.           How to decommission your water cooler?

          You may have to leave your water cooler inactive for an unknown length of time, so you’ll need to know how to decommission your water cooler. We have put together these steps, which will prevent any unwelcome odours, build-up of bacteria or risk of leaks whilst not in use.

          How to decommisson your water cooler:

          1. Switch OFF at the mains electric socket
          2. Turn the water supply to the machine OFF, ideally at the point where we have taken the water supply off the mains. Normally this is a simple quarter-turn of the on/off tap.  Various tap options in the ‘off’ position are shown on the guide below:
          3. Then drain as much water out of the machine as possible through the taps. Be careful whilst drawing out hot water.
          4. When coming to use the machine again, please ensure to turn the water supply on BEFORE the power supply. This will prevent the inlet valve burning out.
          5. If the machine has not been in use for a few weeks, it is important ensure the machine is sanitised before put in to use again. Please contact us on 01905 337187 or sales@thewellbeinggroup.co.uk to arrange for this to be done.

          I need my Water Dispenser Serviced?

          We provide water dispenser support for any office that has a machine that we stock or supply that needs servicing, however our service plans make it cheaper and less hassle to keep your machine in prime dispensing order.

              How to decommission your hot water boiler?

              You may have to leave your water cooler inactive for an unknown length of time, so it is important to know how to decommission a hot water boiler.

              3. Then drain as much water out of the machine as possible through the tap using a thermally insulated jug/mugs etc. TAKE CARE HOT WATER!
              4. When coming to use the machine again, please ensure to turn the water supply on BEFORE the power supply. This will prevent the inlet valve burning out.
              5. If the machine has not been in use for a few weeks, it is important ensure the machine is sanitised before put in to use again.

              I need my Water Boiler Serviced?

              We provide water dispenser support for any office that has a machine that we stock or supply that needs servicing, however our service plans make it cheaper and less hassle to keep your machine in prime dispensing order.

              We can service and repair any water dispensing system whether you are an existing Wellbeing Group customer or not. You could have bought your cooler, dispenser or tap from anyone but we will still happily resolve your issue for you, our service standards are industry leading and we promise a rapid response to your issues.

              There are two options – You can pay for a call-out each time for us service your product and any additional labour or parts required to repair the system. Alternatively you can sign up to our annual service plans which are designed to save you time and money and provide peace of mind for ongoing bi-annual servicing of your water dispenser including filter changes.
